CAC Insists On Closure Of Manual Submission, Lists Requirement For Registration Of University Education

The Corporate Affairs Commission has released notices regarding closing the window for manual submission of Applications and the requirements needed for registration of companies/Entities for the purpose of running Universities Education.

According to the statement sighted by Juris Digest manual submission of application ended 31st March as earlier stated by the commission.

The notice partly reads:

“This is to inform our esteemed customers and the general public that the closure on the window on manual submission of application effective 31st March, 2021 still in force”.

The commission, therefore, deemed it fit to inform the public that from Monday 12th April 2021, all customers applying for Same Day post-registration services that have not fully deployed online are required to submit such request on the company’s Registration Portal (CRP).

According to the Corporation, such application as reflected in our earlier notice include:

1. Alteration on Memorandum & Articles of Association
2. Schedule 14 (form of statement to be filled by Banks, Insurance and deposit finance Institution)
3. Amendment of Constitution
4. Bi-annual Statement for Incorporated Trustees.

Customers are also required to upload evidence of payment through Remita to samedaypost@cac.gov.ng for necessary processing, stating that every other information contained in the notice dated 1st April, 2021 will continue to apply.

On the issue of registration of companies/Entities for the purpose of running Universities Education, the commission noted that Letter of no objection from the National Universities Commission and it must be registered as Company Limited by Guarantee (LTD/GTE) under Part A of Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, shall accompany the application.
